Cut and Run (Sisterhood Book 30) Kindle Edition
It’s been three months since Countess Annie de Silva slipped away from her home before dawn, leaving a cryptic note and no clue as to her destination. That’s an eternity for friends as devoted as the Sisterhood. Now they’re desperate to ensure that their founding member is alive and well, and that means tracking her down—wherever in the world she might be.
Myra Rutledge, Annie’s closest confidante, knows the secrets of Annie’s past, including the remote mountain in Spain where Annie spent some of the best—and worst—days of her life. Annie vowed that she’d never return to the mountain or the stunning monastery there. But the memories of the past have called her back. Now, she needs allies who are fearless, loyal, and willing to do whatever it takes to see justice done. And with the safety of one of their own on the line, the Sisterhood won’t let her down . . .

Annie de Silva is awakened one early morning with the feeling that something was just not right. She was finally going to call Myra and see if she knew anything when she got the phone call. This phone call was from Padre Diaz at the village at the base of the mountain she inherited when her husband died. He had a message from Father Mendoza asking her to return to the mountain. She had vowed never to return to that mountain; but this phone call meant she had to. She had to figure out what was going on.
The one thing she didn’t do before she left was to tell anyone where she was going or why. Her note to Fergus simply said she had something she had to do and would be gone for a while. Then she, her airplane, and its pilot disappeared.
Three months later, the girls are insisting Charles Martin let them do something. The boys agreed with them. Three months was too long for her not to have at least called. After discussing where they might go, Myra who had known Annie since they were babies, decided to go to the mountain and see if Annie was there. She insisted on going alone; but agreed to have Charles and the others follow her there in a few days. This was a good idea since as soon as Myra got out of the helicopter, she was met with a man with a gun. What had Annie and now Myra gotten into?
I enjoy the way the cast of characters expands. In this story, I liked the way that the money appeared, then immediately disappeared.
