Single All the Way: A Single Dad Christmas Romance (Single Dads of Dragonfly Lake Book 2) Kindle Edition
Some people are just meant to be single all the way…right?
Emerson
Being a widow and a single mom wasn’t part of my plan. But here I am.
I suppose I should consider myself lucky Ben offered us a place to stay. Without him, who knows where we would’ve ended up.
Now all I have to do is figure out how to ignore the way my entirely too sexy new roommate sometimes looks at me… and the way those looks make me feel…
Ben
I loved Emerson first. But that didn’t matter once she fell for my best friend.
So, I moved on. And I was happy. For a while, at least.
Now, I’m a busy single dad who just asked a woman who’ll never be mine to move in with me.
I’ve always been good at hiding my feelings for Emerson. But something tells me I’m about to get even better…

- Reviewed in the United States on October 25, 2024Finally, we get to know more about who is responsible for the llama drama in quaint, small-town Dragonfly Lake, TN. It’s worth reading for this drama alone, but make sure you have sugar cookies with sprinkles on hand. You’ll need them.
Single dad and town veterinarian Ben Holloway is used to caring for creatures in need, as his menagerie on his farm indicates. When single mom and his best friend's widow, Emerson Estes, needs a place to stay for herself and her two children, Ben, of course, opens his home to them. Emerson has always been someone special to him, and the kids get along well together and settle in like they’ve been there all along. It's Emerson who's determined to stand on her own and find her own place as soon as possible.
Thankfully, fate and the local real estate offerings are on Ben’s side, because there's nothing in town available for a small family of three. Worse yet, it's the Christmas season and Emerson isn’t feeling it. Ben’s family has strong holiday traditions, and as Emerson and her children take part, Emerson's heart is touched with the magic of the season.
This gifted storyteller is one I’ve been with for a while, and it’s a joy to watch her grow in her craft and finding each new romance more touching and heartfelt than the last. I love these characters so much and relate to them so well that they feel like good friends. I love the sweetness and humor the kids and animals add, and watching Ben get a chance with the girl he's always had feelings for is it’s own reward.
But for me, Emerson is the one who shines, letting go of old fears and boundaries meant to keep her and her children safe and taking a chance on love again; it feels like getting an early Christmas present. This one is like sitting by the fire wrapped in a warm, cozy blanket with your favorite hot drink. Sweet, charming, steamy, and full of heart, this phenomenal, feel-good read is just the thing to put you in the holiday spirit!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 7, 2025Ben and Emerson have know each other since high-school. She married Ben's best friend. Now they're both single parents. He offers her and her kids a place to stay when she needs it most. What a lovely story, immediate connection and investment in these characters.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 25, 2024SINGLE ALL THE WAY is a standalone read with a happy ending. It does have some spicy scenes if that is an issue for you. It is set in Dragonfly Lake. I loved this book and highly recommend it. It is a great read and has great characters. Ben is a great guy and too bad he can't be cloned.
Ben is a widower, single dad to two girls. The local veterinarian and lives on a big piece of land with a lot of animals. His clinic is on the land about a 5-minute walk from his house. He loves rescuing strays and the animals are a fun addition to the story.
Emerson's husband was killed in combat. She has a young daughter and young son. She owns a salon in town. Emerson had her hands full when her world almost exploded. She lived with her mother-in-law when the lady up and announced she had fallen in love, was selling her house and moving to Nevada. It was a shock as well as a complete inconvenience. She now had to immediately find a home to buy in their small community where property rarely came on the market. Ben hears of her problem and without even thinking he offers her a place to stay until she can find a home. Ben and her hubby were best friends, so they have known each other for a while. Ben has a big farmhouse with loads of room, so it is just a matter of the kids all getting along and getting used to living with each other.
This is a great read as you get used to living on a farm with lots of animals. Ben has a big secret that no one but him knows. This is a romance so there is a happy ever after. A fun read as well as a great love story. You will thoroughly enjoy it.
I am an advance reader and received a free book. I am not a writer, nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am NOT A BOT. I am a reader, and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 10-18-24.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 18, 2024I finished Single All The Way by Amy Knupp and I LOVED it!!
Before reading it, I decided I needed to read the first book in the Single Dads of Dragonfly Lake series, and I’m so happy I did. You don’t need to read it in order to love Single All the Way but it made it better for me. By the end of Singled Out, book 1, I had fallen in love with the town and its characters.
Single All the Way is Ben and Emerson’s story. Ben and Emerson are both widowed single parents who have been friends since high school. Ben was best friends with Emerson’s husband and he kept his distance out of respect but in truth he’s had a thing for her since before his best friend asked her out first. Ben has offered Emerson and her kids a place to stay during the months of the holidays while they look for a new house. The story unfolds from there. I don’t want to spoil any of the good stuff but if you love friends to lovers, forced proximity, single dads/moms, and escape artist llamas you’ll love this spicy Christmas love story. I know I did!
Both Singled Out and Single All The Way are OUT NOW!!! And I cannot wait for the next book in this series!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 4, 2024Emerson and Ben - what a heart warming story. I loved how these two seamlessly became a family with their kids. Emerson - she had been through so much and Ben was so patient and understanding. Ben - oh my goodness the perfect book boyfriend/husband. And the chemistry was great between the two.
