I was fortunate to receive an ARC of this book and loved it so voluntarily leave this review. I gave the book 5 stars because it literally grabs your attention from the get go and holds your attention all the way through to the very end. This is a very well thought out, planned & fast paced story. Almost all of the characters have key roles to keep the story flowing smoothly, they are easy to picture characters so when you get sucked into the story you know who you are with. The scene development is great especially the garish pink bedroom (someone must have been drunk when decorating that room). I love walking through the modern yet not property, that was pretty cool. Little Ari is a totally delightful every should have one kind of kid, you literally just fall in love with her, she is quite a clever little girl, well if you discount the fact that she went with someone she did not know. From first meeting her you will find it hard to put the book down because you just have to see what happens next constantly, especially with Ari's dad, poor bloke has had a busy time of it, he tired me out. I liked the various POV, it let us see what others were thinking. I can't really say more as don't want to add spoilers. This book could be read by/to many ages from YA readers to senior years.

Riveting, Suspenseful and Impossible to put down! I found this book riveting from the beginning. Stacey is great at describing each scene that she pulls you into the story. I felt that I was standing there watching everything happen. This book grabbed me from page one and I did not want to put it down. The story had many twists and turns. She keeps you on the edge of your seat through the entire story. She makes you understand how a killer can only kill once a year, and still be a serial killer. A very smart, conniving person who at times seems like a little boy lost in the past, but other times can be a stone-hard killer. He knows how to lure the children in by using the latest trend or game to entice the children away from the safety of their parents. I thought that the characters were very strong, especially Arianna. She quickly understood that to survive she had to play his game. She was not just a weak child who was clueless and sat in the corner in a fetal position waiting to die. She was smart, highly perceptive and understood whom she had to be to survive. She took on the role that was necessary and bided her time to make her run. This book proves that all it takes is a few seconds and your child can be lost to you forever. Really makes you re-think the idea of taking a text or a phone call when you are with your child as it can be a fatal mistake. This book was provided to me for an honest review
