With realistic characters and riveting suspense, including danger all around, Debra Webb has written a book that is hard to put down and hard to forget once you finish it. Meg, the heroine, is a dog groomer who is hiding out until she becomes a reluctant heroine. Once her location is known, her pursuers are there, threatening her and all she holds dear. I loved the interaction between her and animal rescuer Griff and her stand your ground and kick butt attitude. All opinions are my own!
